1 nil to the Capitalists!
Here’s an idea; I am a rich Tory. I make whatsits; my whatsits cost £10 to make; I can sell my whatsits for £11 and make a tidy profit. But no, I don’t do that. I’m a greedy bastard and suss what the market will stand- and it comes out at £15. So I sell my whatsits at £15 and make huge profits, none of which goes back to my workforce, many of whom cannot afford a whatsit because I have artificially increased the price- and, incidentally fuelled inflation. (My God! Are you telling me its employers that fuel inflation, not poor workers?)
So, capitalism = greedy bastards 1, workers =0.
Now I am a poor self employed worker; I make whatsits at a cost of £10; I sell them at £8 to those who cannot afford £10, and at £13 to those who can. I make a tidy profit, the poor can afford to buy, thus they can buy more whatsits and I have to make more, and employ more to make them; the rich do not miss the extra they pay- everybody’s happy. What’s wrong with this view of economics- unless you’re a rich bastard?
So, workers = 1, greedy bastards STILL = 1!
