King in the World of the Blind.

with 3 comments

Here were, sat nice and pretty (if you’re lucky) in our wonderful capitalist world; where the wealth trickles down from the factory owner, from the shopkeep to the hard working employee.

Ho, Ho, Ho, Ha Ha Ha! It just doesn’t- really, with 40+ years experience I can tell you CATAGORICALLY the only way the working man ever bettered himself was through pain and strife, strong unions and the withdrawal of his labour.

The employer, and increasingly the government will tell you this is wrong. They will tell you withdrawal of your labour- currently an illegal act- is catastrophically bad for your own working fellow man.

Nurses on strike- patients die; electricians on strike- no power to your home; etc. etc.

Truth is, when you withdraw your labour the person most hurt is your employer- who will quickly settle if his profits are dwindling.

It is a balance of power, folks- and the balance is currently in favour of the capitalist profiteer.

We need to redress this balance. Nice, I say in my utopian view of the world. share, I say, again in my utopian view.

The reality is these factory owners, these politicians, these employers will not give it up; we have to TAKE it.

If you cannot see that, you are the one-eyed man who is king in the world of the blind.

  1. Totally agree. I’m done with unions now and wouldn’t give them a penny!
I too want a Utopian world – it’s not too much to ask, is it?

    • oh, no. In fact, not even a Utopian world- if only the gaffers and the politicians would realise we just want our fair share. If they won’t give us that, then we see Russia 1917, Cuba 1959, India in 1947
