I absolutely abhor these people and companies who buy up debts- at this level and at a personal level.
Debts are not sold if you are paying them; only defaulted debts are bought at a peppercorn cost and the debt collectors then chase you to pay the full debt knowing full well the reason they were sold in the first place was because you couldn’t pay them!
This is the reason they may buy a £1,000 debt and offer to settle for, say one payment of £400- because they probably only paid £200- or even less- for it.
All such debt purchasing should be outlawed, or at the very least STRICTLY regulated.
(not satire – it’s the world today)
The fact you’ve probably never heard of Paul Singer says a lot about the way the world is run today.
Whole nations have been driven into poverty by Mr Singer and millions of people forced to live in extreme penury by his greed.
Singer doesn’t lend money – he buys up old debts then like an old-style gangster he demands outrageous interest payments for them.
The private companies which do this are known as vulture funds and Singer is the greediest vulture of them all.
As just one example example of his activities, a few years ago Singer bought up the Republic of Congo’s historic debts for $10 million and demanded the poverty stricken nation pay him back at a rate of over 1,000%.
The country – scared of the consequences of defaulting – duly paid Singer $127 million, money which could have been spent on roads…

(not satire – it’s the UKIP!)
A UKIP general election candidate – along with his local branch chairman – has resigned claiming the party has been ‘infiltrated’ by occult devotees.
Jake Baynes – who until today was the UKIP candidate for the Wells constituency in Somerset – said he had resigned because there was a concerted campaign against him from within the party from ‘occultists’ who “get their divine inspirations from the Archangel Michael”.
I promise you I’m not making any of this up. Here’s the full story from the Western Daily Gazette:
Blimey. Are these people really in contention to be running our country?
Please feel free to comment. And share. Thanks:
“Please sign, share, tweet and blog this. Let’s make sure this tragic story does not go away.”
The family of David Clapson – the former soldier who recently died after his benefits were stopped as punishment for missing a meeting at the Jobcentre – have launched a petition calling for an inquiry into benefit sanctions.
In his sister’s own words:
“My brother, David Clapson, a diabetic ex-soldier, died starving and destitute because he was penalised by the Job Centre for missing a meeting.
“David had his £71.70 weekly allowance stopped meaning that he couldn’t afford food or electricity. He was penniless, starving and alone. His electricity card was out of credit meaning the fridge where he should have kept his diabetes insulin chilled was not working. Three weeks after his benefits were stopped he died from diabetic ketoacidosis – caused by not taking his insulin.
“David wasn’t a “scrounger”. He had worked for 29 years; 5 years in the Army – including two years in Northern Ireland…

The onlooker isn’t Iain Duncan Smith is it? Hmmmm…
(not satire – it’s the corrupt UK today!)
A woman was arrested today after posting a photograph on Twitter of chancellor George Osborne at her flat when she worked as a madame at an escort agency.
Natalie Rowe posted this photo on Twitter just two days ago:
Then today Natalie was arrested by the police for “abusive behaviour”:
Natalie’s home was also searched last year by police after she tried to publish her memoirs in which she mentions Osborne took cocaine and used her services as a dominatrix called Miss Whiplash:
Of course this could all be coincidence.
Or perhaps more proof – if any more were needed – that our police are being used to protect politicians’ reputations rather than catching criminals?
Please share. Don’t let our politicians get away with this. Thanks:
Is This What They Mean By #disabilityconfident? Disabled Staff Twice As Likely To Get Sacked From The DWP
This has mostly involved endlessly tweeting the hashtag #disabilityconfident and organising corporate events where large employers and Ministers all meet up to tell each other how wonderful they are being to disabled people. Then they can all go back to sending disabled people on workfare safe in the knowledge that the campaign they invented has told them that’s okay.
You might expect however that the DWP’s own treatment of their disabled staff would be exemplary. This is after all the branch of government which also includes the Office for Disability Issues. The shocking truth, as revealed in their own research, is that disabled employees at the DWP are twice as likely to get sacked as non-disabled staff and just half as likely to get…

This may be a couple of months old, but since it is still contemporary in its assertion, I thought it worthy of a reblog.
(not satire – or is it?)
Over a year ago I wrote what was supposed to be a satirical blogpost:
Now it seems it wasn’t satire at all – it was reality:
With Cameron and Clegg in charge, the line between satire and reality is getting thinner and thinner and thinner ………
