Not much needs to be said about this Guardian article, except what a brilliant argument for nationalising all rental housing in the UK.

    What really pishes me off, is that a large group of people are being denied homes due to no fault of their own. He is criminalizing those on benefits, he is evicting people due to them being in a certain “group”.
    Surely this discrimination is wrong and court action should be taken?

    • Thanks for the reblog, Jay. It is certainly discriminatory.

      Not that I necessarily agree with their position, but when landlords cannot refuse to let rooms to gay couples but a landlord can refuse on the grounds of being too poor, there is something dreadfully wrong with our system, and that wrong is the emphasis on the individual, profit and pelf.

      I have said this before and will say it again; I’d tax the buggers out of existence!
