Here’s what I want…

Here’s what I want; here is my utopia; I want the British people to wake up; I want the British people to revolt- peacefully, if possible, but if pushed then I want the British people to take up arms; rakes, forks and spades if necessary and storm the bastions of power. I want the British people to wake to the incredibly unjust society in which we live; I want the British people to see that the ‘cultural change’ the Tories speak of is nothing less than plutocratic dictatorship.

It isn’t gonna happen anytime soon. Too many believe that our ‘democracy’ works; too many don’t care; too many do not believe that the only alternative is a socialist revolution; too many believe that socialism is evil— too many watch the X-Factor, Jeremy Kyle and Big Brother.

But democratic socialism means no banker can usurp somebody else’s wealth to his- or her- own ends; no fascist, capitalist or otherwise anti-proletariat individual or group can usurp power from the people; the power- and the wealth produced from your blood, sweat and tears- will be distributed equitably according to your needs, while you quite rightly contribute according to your ability.

If that doesn’t sound right, then you want more than you are entitled to; you are a capitalist. If you don’t like the name, stop liking the method.

  1. I completely agree with you as it’s also what I want. I agree with you about the people watching tv which is there to dull any brain cells that people may have left.
I want the people of this country to stop being cowards, but they won’t.
My tears are made from the hard work that I used to be able to do, which I now can’t due to severe disabilities and illnesses, yet still I go online and sign petitions, write mails, ask people to stop and think for just a few minutes to realise what is actually going on in this country…
I try, I really do and I get so angry with the people for NOT doing anything. If I could do more I would but I can’t so some of my tears are of anger against those who want but won’t!

    • We all know that drawn-in feeling we get watching the tripe they purvey as entertainment; we know we’re watching rubbish, but we sit and watch it.

Next time you see any of the above programs on a TV- and many others; Eastenders, Coronation Street etc. etc., count; one-two-three-four and I’ll be surprised if you reach five very often before there’s a scene change- very often nothing more than a change of camera angle. This is because of a well known (to the program makers) attention span built into our brains. If the scene- or camera angle- didn’t change, our attention would fade and we’d stop watching. The switch resets this attention span. Try it; I have and it is true. You actually feel the program drawing you in!
